Commissioning a Disused Swimming Pool!

Since the start of 2023 we’ve been lucky enough to be flat out with work; installing energy saving Air Source Heat Pumps, carrying out Repairs and Replacements for Hot Tubs and Swimming Pools all over the North of England and in South West Scotland and adding more holiday properties to roster for Regular Maintenance service! This project stands out among the rest as it’s not very often you get to work on a swimming pool that’s in such great condition even after been disused for over a year!

Even after being empty for over a year, the pool was still in great condition but needed a full-service cleaning. Follow along as the team applies a strong cleaner and sanitiser, replaces the filter media, scrubs down the tiling, and jet washes all the walls. See the dramatic difference in colour between the old and new sand as they take out the old sand and add new sand and water carefully to the filter. After an overnight fill and the addition of flushing chemicals and flocculant, the team hoovers the pool floor, and the job is done!
